Our People

Christopher J. Johnson E.A., President of the firm, works with individuals, corporations, and small businesses on income tax issues. He started Sidney Tax & Accounting in 1989. Chris holds an Enrolled Agent license with the Internal Revenue Service which he received in 1991. This license allows him to represent his clients before the IRS regarding all types of tax issues. His areas of specialization are farm and corporate income tax. He also does financial planning and investment consulting for his clients.

Chris received his college education from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs and Nebraska College of Business in Omaha. Chris is an active member of the Sidney United Methodist Church, Nishnabotny Lodge #153, Sidney Chamber of Commerce, Sidney Alumni & Friends, and various other organizations in the community.

 

Erika Graham E.A. has been with Sidney Tax & Accounting since 1995.  She works with individuals and small businesses providing them with tax consulting and experienced accounting services.   In addition to preparing income tax returns, she manages bookkeeping, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable for several clients.  Erika is also the Quickbooks ProAdvisor for Sidney Tax & Accounting, and offers Quickbooks training to interested clients.

 

 Mike Shough recently joined   the firm.   He will be providing bookkeeping,  payroll and tax return services for his clients.

Mike received an accounting degree and teaching certification from Northwest Missouri State University.  He has prepared individual, fiduciary, partnership and corporate income tax returns for approximately 25 years.   Mike served in the US Army for 3 years, worked in the banking industry for 25 years, taught in the area schools for the past 5 years.  He has also been a high school athletic official working with football, baseball and basketball athletes in the southwest Iowa area.  

Mike actively supports the local Elks Lodge in Shenandoah, Iowa as well as belonging   to the Shenandoah American Legion.  He has served on the parish council and a CYO sponsor of the St. Patrick church in Imogene, Iowa. 

 

Kaylee Gregory is from the Nebraska City, Nebraska area and has recently graduated from Peru State College with a business adminstration-accounting degree.  Kaylee has experience with Quickbooks, payroll processing and income tax preparation.
