Our People

Christopher J. Johnson E.A., President of the firm, works with individuals, corporations, and small businesses on income tax issues. He started Sidney Tax & Accounting in 1989. Chris holds an Enrolled Agent license with the Internal Revenue Service which he received in 1991. This license allows him to represent his clients before the IRS regarding all types of tax issues. His areas of specialization are farm and corporate income tax. He also does financial planning and investment consulting for his clients.

Chris received his college education from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs and Nebraska College of Business in Omaha. Chris is an active member of the Sidney United Methodist Church, Nishnabotny Lodge #153, Sidney Chamber of Commerce, Sidney Alumni & Friends, and various other organizations in the community.

Marcie Shirley, staff accountant has worked with the firm since 2002. She works primarily with individuals and business clients providing accounting and payroll experience, business tax returns and aids with the computer programs Sidney Tax & Accounting uses daily.

Marcie graduated from Peru State College. She is actively involved with her community.

Erika Graham E.A. has been with Sidney Tax & Accounting since 1995. She works with individuals and small businesses providing them with tax consulting and experienced accounting services. In addition to preparing income tax returns, she manages bookkeeping, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable for several clients. Erika is also the Quickbooks ProAdvisor for Sidney Tax & Accounting, and offers Quickbooks training to interested clients.

Kassie Jorgenson, C.P.A. joined the staff at Sidney Tax & Accounting in September of 2006. She provides consultation with clients regarding individual, corporate, and small business tax issues.

Kassie earned her accounting degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1999. Prior to Sidney Tax & Accounting, she was an auditor with Arthur Andersen and KPMG where she provided accounting, financial, and consulting services for nearly five years. In addition she worked in private industry for three years.
